🌐 About the Role

At SOTEC Consulting – ASTEK Group , we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a strategic project within the space sector .

We are seeking a professional with solid experience in embedded software development to participate in the development, integration, and validation of highly critical space systems, contributing to international programs using cutting-edge technologies in the space sector.

🎙️ High level of English required (international project)

🪛 Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++ .
• Design, implement, and optimize new software functionalities.
• Integrate software components into Linux platforms.
• Participate in software verification and validation activities.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Automate testing and validation processes using specialized tools.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve issues in complex environments.
• Prepare technical documentation and support integration activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Systems Engineering, Hardware, Integration, Validation, and Operations.

🛠️ Mandatory Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Citizenship of a European Union member state.
• Holding, or having previously held, a Personal Security Clearance (HPS) .
• Strong programming experience in C and C++ .
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of operating systems, software architecture, and low-level programming.
• Experience in test automation and validation using Robot Framework and Selenium .
• Experience in software integration, testing, and validation.

📃 Nice to Have:

• Experience in space sector projects.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, or other critical systems environments.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI/CD).
• Experience with scripting and process automation.
• Knowledge of Git and version control tools.
• Familiarity with quality standards and development practices applicable to critical software.
