Embedded Software Engineer

We’re hiring: Embedded Systems / Firmware Engineer

Kisui is looking for one embedded systems / firmware engineer to join our robotics team in Kashiwa, Japan.

We are a VC-backed Tohoku University / Chiba University startup building AI robots that help farmers manage larger farms with fewer people. Our mission is to address labor shortages and aging rural communities by creating autonomous machines that can work in real-world outdoor environments.

This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of industry experience in embedded systems, firmware, robotics, or related fields.

Relevant experience includes:

• Embedded design with 8/16/32-bit MCUs
• Linux / RTOS environments
• ROS2 / DDS
• C / C++ / Python
• Makefile / CMake
• Ethernet, USB, CAN, WiFi, TCP/IP
• Automated unit testing
• Resource-constrained edge computing

Nice to have:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• CUDA / TensorRT
• Functional safety or security development experience
• Autonomous driving or robotics experience
