Mission

Join the IBA Electronics team as an Embedded Software Engineer and put your skills to work on projects that truly make a difference!

You’ll develop innovative embedded solutions in C, integrated into our FPGA systems, leveraging processors such as NIOS II (Intel) and MicroBlaze (AMD) .

Challenges we trust you with

  • Define, design, implement, verify, and maintain embedded software solutions for medical and industrial applications, based on system and software requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, FPGA experts, hardware) to integrate embedded software with FPGA solutions (NIOS II/V, MicroBlaze).
  • Ensure software quality through unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Follow design processes, deliver on time, and support team members on embedded software topics.
  • Contribute to team development by mentoring juniors, guiding internships, and sharing knowledge.

What We Value

  • Masters degree in software/computer science engineering (or equivalent knowledge proven by experience).
  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++, Python and Java) in a regulated environment.
  • Familiar with NIOS II/V (Intel soft processor) and/or MircoBlaze (AMD FPGA soft processor).
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience/knowledge in functional safety
  • Able to work with validation engineers to debug issues (e.g. with oscilloscope, power supplies ...)
  • Fluent in English (mandatory) and French (nice to have)
  • You are willing to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary team (electronics, systems, mechanics, quality, etc.).
  • Familiar with ARM Microcontrollers and Microprocessors is a plus.
