Embedded Senior Software Engineer, Project Leo Customer Terminals

Project Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. You’ll join the team building the embedded software that powers the customer terminals connecting homes and businesses to high-speed satellite internet.
What you’ll do
-
Develop and test embedded software running on embedded Linux

Design and implement core software functions for Customer Terminal devices

Build embedded software using Rust, C++, and C

Contribute across the full SDLC (requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment)

Design and analyse state machines for embedded systems

Develop software within secure compute environments

Support deployments, operations, and debugging on production systems

Write technical documentation, specs, and design notes
What you’ll need
-
7+ years of professional software development experience

Strong embedded development experience (C, C++, Rust)

Experience working with embedded Linux systems

Solid understanding of state machine design and embedded debugging

Experience contributing across the full software development lifecycle

Ability to work fully on-site in Redmond, WA

Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (export control requirement)
Nice to have

Experience collaborating with hardware engineering teams

Background in networking, RF, or satellite systems
Salary
$151,300 - $261,500 base, depending on experience.
