Job Description

We're working with a pioneering life sciences innovator that is redefining the intersection of robotics and healthcare on this exciting opportunity.

Imagine building the software backbone for complex electro-mechanical systems that directly impact patient lives. We are looking for a high-caliber Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge medical devices within a collaborative environment of elite physicists, scientists, and designers.

The Role

  • Lead the end-to-end development of embedded C/C++ software for sophisticated biotech and medical instrumentation.
  • Architect and implement firmware for complex electro-mechanical devices, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate high-level medical requirements into robust, high-performance code.
  • Drive technical excellence across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within a highly regulated innovation hub.
  • Ensure all software meets rigorous safety and performance standards essential for life-saving medical applications.

What You'll Need

  • Proven professional experience in Embedded Software Engineering, specifically with C and C++ for microcontrollers.
  • Solid understanding of working within regulated environments, ideally with exposure to ISO 13485, IEC 62304, or ISO 14971 standards.
  • Experience developing software for electro-mechanical systems or medical devices is highly desirable.
  • A strong academic background in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-software experts.

What's On Offer

  • Highly competitive starting salary with regular performance reviews.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including a premium pension scheme and private medical insurance.
  • Life assurance and additional wellness-focused perks.
  • The chance to work on truly "world-first" technologies in one of the most prestigious biotech hubs in the world.
