Lead development of vehicle-level energy management strategies across the full development lifecycle (modeling, simulation, embedded implementation and validation)

Balance competing demands such as range, performance, durability, and driver comfort under real-world conditions

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for hardware, software, electrical systems and vehicle integration

Lead or contribute to validation activities for energy management controls in MiL, SiL, HiL and in-vehicle testing

Correlate simulation results to real-world vehicle behavior, understand differences and maximize energy management systems outputs for a higher overall vehicle performance and high durability

Use connected vehicle data to understand how e-systems perform in real operations including in fleet usage and make recommendations to improve efficiency and robustness for current and next-generation of e-vehicles

Ensure alignment across requirements, models, software and validation results

Contribute to continuous improvement using a structured engineering approach

Provide technical leadership in energy management, help drive decisions, priorities and system-level solutions across engineering teams

Knowledge You Should Bring
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering and/or Computer Science
with 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree

Strong technical expertise in energy management in BEVs
-
Experience in developing production-intent control strategies for BEVs
-
Expert experience with Mathworks toolchain, Vector tools, dSpace or equivalent HiL platform
-
Familiarity with embedded systems, ECU integration and vehicle communication networks
-
Good knowledge of SEDP or equivalent V-model development processes
-
Experience in multi-stage validation environments (MiL, SiL, HiL and vehicle)
-
Strong written and verbal communication; able to present technical tradeoffs, risks, and decisions to diverse audiences.

Strong work ethics, highly motivated, and ability to drive results in a collaborative engineering environment.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Experience with heavy-duty or Class 8 vehicle applications

Experience with predictive or optimization-based energy management
-
Familiarity with embedded automotive software development environments and interfaces between controls models and production ECUs
-
Proven success working in globally distributed teams (e.g., coordinating deliverables across multiple engineering centers) consistent with global coordination expectations
-
Track record of mentoring engineers and building sustainable team practices (planning, metrics, review cadence, technical standards)
-
Experience applying modern engineering tools (automation, data analytics, AI-assisted engineering) to improve development efficiency, validation quality, or requirements traceability
-
Familiarity with connected vehicle data systems and fleet analytics

Position offers a salary range of $117,000 to $150,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
