About BAV Electric
BAV Electric is building India's next-generation electric mobility ecosystem. We are expanding our retail network, developing smart connected electric vehicles, and building a unified mobile platform that allows customers to monitor, manage, and service their vehicles.
We're looking for an Embedded IoT Engineer to lead the development of the
BAV Smart Module
, which will connect electric vehicles to the BAV cloud and mobile app.
Roles & Responsibilities

Design and develop the BAV Smart Module for electric vehicles.

Develop embedded firmware using ESP32/STM32.
-
Interface with motor controllers, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and vehicle dashboards.
-
Read vehicle data using CAN Bus, UART, RS485, or other communication protocols.
-
Integrate GPS, 4G/LTE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
-
Develop secure communication between vehicles and the BAV cloud platform.
-
Implement OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates.
-
Diagnose and troubleshoot embedded hardware and firmware issues.
-
Collaborate with backend and mobile app teams for end-to-end integration.
-
Prototype, test, and validate hardware on electric scooters.
-
Design scalable solutions compatible with multiple EV brands.

Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.

3–6 years of experience in embedded systems, IoT, automotive, or EV products.
-
Experience with GPS tracking devices, fleet management, or connected vehicles.
-
Knowledge of PCB design using KiCad, Altium Designer, or EasyEDA is a plus.
-
Experience integrating cloud platforms and mobile applications.
