Job Description

WeQuel is looking for an Embedded Software Developer – Transmission Systems

We are currently seeking experienced Embedded Software Developers for assignments within the automotive industry. You will work on safety-critical, real-time transmission management systems for both combustion and electric vehicle platforms, in a technically demanding environment where software quality and precision are non-negotiable.

You are a developer who takes ownership of your deliverables, is comfortable working across the full development cycle – from writing requirements to vehicle-level testing – and thrives in a structured, agile engineering environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in C for embedded systems development
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink for modelling and control system development
  • Experience developing software for transmission management systems within automotive powertrain
  • Experience performing unit testing, SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and vehicle-level testing
  • Ability to write, verify, and document software requirements to a high standard

We are looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Developing control strategies for transmission management systems
  • Implementation of gear shifting functions and related powertrain logic
  • Working with both ICE and BEV vehicle platforms

Meritorious:

  • Background in safety-critical or real-time embedded software development
  • Experience from an OEM or tier-1 supplier environment within automotive powertrain

Location: Södertälje

Language requirements: Fluent English required, Swedish is a merit
