Job Description

Location: Hybrid: Remote/ Cluj/ Sibiu

At Bringsense Technologies , we’re building a dedicated engineering team focused on secure embedded firmware for next-generation automotive and industrial platforms.

You’ll work close to the hardware, developing software that protects devices from the very first instruction executed after power-up.

What you will work on:

As part of our engineering team, you’ll contribute to the development of low-level embedded software used in secure platforms for leading semiconductor companies and global automotive OEMs.

Depending on the project, you may work on:

  • Embedded firmware development in C
  • Secure boot and firmware update mechanisms
  • Hardware Security Engine (HSE/HSM) integration
  • Bootloaders and startup code
  • RTOS-based platform software
  • Device drivers and low-level platform components
  • Memory protection and system isolation
  • Cryptographic service integration
  • Embedded debugging and bring-up
  • Performance optimization for resource-constrained systems
  • Security and reliability improvements across the platform


What we are looking for

The most important requirement is strong Embedded C development experience and the willingness to understand systems at a low level.

You should be comfortable with topics such as:

  • Embedded C programming
  • Microcontroller architecture
  • Memory layout and linker scripts
  • Startup code and boot process
  • Interrupts and exception handling
  • Debugging with JTAG/SWD
  • Build systems (Make/CMake)
  • RTOS concepts (tasks, scheduling, synchronization)
  • Root cause analysis of complex software issues


Security experience is a plus - not a requirement

You don’t need to be a security expert from day one.

If you’ve been exposed to any of the following, that’s great:

  • Secure Boot
  • Hardware Root of Trust
  • Cryptographic concepts (AES, SHA, RSA, ECC)
  • HSM / HSE
  • AUTOSAR Crypto Stack (Crypto, CSM, KeyM)
  • Secure firmware updates
  • Authentication and integrity verification
  • Secure coding practices

If not, you’ll have the opportunity to learn these technologies while working alongside experienced engineers.

  • ARM Cortex-M or Cortex-A

  • Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Static analysis tools
  • CI/CD for embedded software
