You will be part of a highly talented team that develops and tests TouchSense Firmware, an essential part of the NXP TouchSense Solution based on cutting edge technologies.  

 

Your responsibilities 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of key firmware components, drive technical decisions, and mentor team members while ensuring high-quality automotive-grade software delivery. 

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex features  

  • Drive root cause analysis for critical issues  

  • Ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability  

  • Proactively identify risks and propose mitigations 

  • Work with Product Owner / system teams  

  • Clarify requirements and influence backlog  

  • Communicate technical decisions clearly 

Your profile 

 

To be successful in this role you have: 

  • University degree in computer science or similar 

  • Excellent programming skills and proven experience with development of multi-core real-time automotive-grade software 

  • Embedded programming (C and embedded C), also up-to-date with the scripting world (e.g. cmake) 

  • ARM architecture 

  • Fast prototyping of new applications 

  • Usage and optimization of low-level drivers, middleware, various real time OSs, user space tools and libraries 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and debugging complex system level issues 

  • Software benchmarking experience 

  • Fluency in written and spoken English 

  • Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, code quality, and analysis 

  •  Experience with ASPICE / ISO26262   

Nice to have knowledge/experience:  

  • Safety-critical and timing critical development 

Your team 

Our team is part of SW R&D group and is responsible for development and testing of NXP TouchSense Solution, including the TouchSense Firmware. The team is located in Romania, but we collaborate with other local and global team members, while demonstrating independence in solving problems and agility in switching tasks as per project priorities. We use Agile methodology for our products development and implement Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing and Continuous Deployment practices.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
