As an Embedded Software Developer within the Auto Solutions department at Toyota Material Handling Europe, you will play an important role in developing and adapting vehicle functions to customer needs. You will work close to the product, combining programming with hands-on testing.
Your Team And Your Responsibilities
Auto Solutions is on an exciting growth journey and today consists of approximately 70 team members, of which more than 50 work in software development. You will join a competent team characterized by collaboration, accountability and technical professionalism.
As an Embedded Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:

Customizing existing products, where you develop and adapt functions based on specific customer requirements.

Programming control logic in Structured Text and other relevant technologies, ensuring that vehicle functions meet customer expectations.

Practical verification and testing of your solutions both in rigs and directly on our vehicles in our 2,000 m² test center.

Problemsolving related to vehicle behaviour, where you analyse functionality and ensure that load handling and driving performance operate safely, efficiently and reliably under varying operating conditions.

Crossfunctional collaboration with colleagues in system, software, electrical and mechanical engineering to achieve complete and robust solutions.
The work combines programming with practical testing, troubleshooting and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. You need to feel comfortable working close to the product and following up how your solutions perform in realworld operation.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking candidates with the following background and capabilities:

A university degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, engineering physics, automation or another relevant technical field. A background in computer science.

Experience in software or control system development, preferably within embedded systems or industrial automation.

An interest in programming, with a focus on logic, system understanding and structured work methods.

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Swedish is a plus.

You work analytically and methodically, enjoy solving problems, and are motivated by seeing your programming have a direct effect on the behaviour of the vehicle. You are a teamoriented person who contributes to collaboration, quality and a positive technical development environment.
