Microcontrollers Digital & Radio Frequency Group (MDRF) contributes to many of ST’s strategic goals for Industrial, Automotive Personal Electronics and Communications Equipment.

MDRG represents around 3 000 employees (mainly R&D teams in France, Italy & India) located in 40 countries, with a revenue of ~3 billion dollars. It addresses 2 major segments: first: General Purpose (GP) Microcontrollers, Automotive microcontrollers, Memories and Secure Micro (MMS Subgroup) covers all products based on Non-Volatile Memory technologies. It represents 80% of MDRF business and second, The RFC Sub-Group focusing on Radio Frequency, Digital & Mixed Signals activities, represents 20% of the business.

We are looking for experienced Embedded SW developer to work with cross-functional teams to develop new STM32 products.

The job holder will oversee Embedded SW development activities (from Specification to support) in order to deploy IPs Drivers and Examples to ensure STM32 products roadmap execution.

Participate, influence & contribute to IP specification phases with Architecture & Design

Follow our SW process to deploy STM32 drivers with expected quality (MISRA, Code Sonar, …) criteria and from SW specification to SW validation

Elaborate the verification (FPGA) and validation (Silicon) plan & execution

Define & develop the applicative examples (based on the low-level drivers) to demonstrate & promote our STM32 key features to customer end users

Finally, you will support the final deployment of such solution to the market and insure the associated customer support (through tickets, forum, github, …)

Profile

Embedded & Realtime Software Development - C/C++ and assembly languages (Debug - Profiling)

Very good ARM Cortex-M architecture knowledge (Cores, Bus structures, Caches …)

Strong low level Drivers Development experience

ARM Security competencies will be a plus (Cortex-M33 and further)

Scripting competencies (python, perl) will be appreciated – Typescript will be a plus

Configuration management (git, gerrit, github, repo) will be appreciated

Common usage on classical development environment (IDEs such as IAR, Keil, Eclipse)

Good knowledge & usage of electronic testing tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, frequency generator, …)

Excellent English written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts

Very good team spirit and cross-functional contribution

Experience required: 5 to 10years

Education: BTech (Electronics/CS)
