Embedded Linux Software Engineer

NIX, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for an Embedded Linux Software Engineer in its office in Budapest (Váci Greens, 13th district). You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing, debugging, testing and configuring software for Embedded Linux based systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 3+ years of commercial experience in software development.
• 1+ year experience in development for OS Linux.
• Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux ecosystem.
• Solid knowledge of C/C++.
• Knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns.
• Experience in design of multithread applications.
• English speaking level B1 or higher.

WILL BE A PLUS

• Strong understanding of Linux system architecture, including kernel and init systems.
• Experience with driver development.
• Familiarity with networking and network protocols.
• Experience with Yocto.
• Ability to manage complexity across board support packages (BSPs), build artifacts, and deployment flows.
