Embedded & Firmware Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 3-4 years


Role Overview We are looking for a Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in embedded systems development to design, develop, test, and maintain firmware for microcontroller- and processor-based products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with C/C++, RTOS, communication protocols, and hardware bring-up, and be capable of working closely with hardware, software, and system engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

1. Prototyping & Development: Assist in designing and building hardware prototypes using Arduino and STM32 microcontrollers.

2. Firmware Development: Write, debug, and optimize low-level firmware in Embedded C for various peripheral interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).

3. Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of circuit boards using lab equipment.

4. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of circuit schematics, code base, test procedures, and component datasheets.

5. Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate hardware components with software systems. Support product integration, testing, manufacturing, and field issue resolution. Participate in design reviews and code reviews.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

1. Degree: B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or a related technical field.

2. Microcontrollers: Hands-on experience working with Arduino development boards and STM32, NXP, TI, Microchip PIC, Atmel AVR, Renesas, Nordic nRF, ESP32 and ARM Cortex-M series

3. Programming: Strong proficiency in Embedded C , C++ programming.

4. Hardware Fundamentals: Solid understanding of basic electronics, circuit design, and components (resistors, capacitors, transistors, sensors).
