Embedded Systems Intern – Project Vrukka

ErX Research Labs is seeking motivated Embedded Systems Interns to contribute to Project Vrukka, an innovative embedded technology initiative. This role offers hands-on experience in firmware development, hardware-software integration, and product prototyping.

Eligibility

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
• 2nd year and above preferred
• Coursework in embedded systems, microprocessors, or digital electronics

Required Skills

• C/C++ and basic Python
• Understanding of microcontrollers (Arduino, STM32, ESP32, AVR, etc.)
• Digital electronics and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)
• Basic schematic reading and hardware debugging

Good to Have

• FreeRTOS or Zephyr
• STM32CubeIDE, Keil, Eclipse, or similar development environments
• Git/GitHub
• Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, or JTAG-based debugging

What You'll Do

• Develop and test embedded firmware
• Support hardware-software integration
• Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation activities
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with engineering teams
