Role Overview
The Embedded Bring-Up Engineer will be responsible for enabling early software functionality on new SoC platforms across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. This includes low-level system initialization, RTOS internals, peripheral integration, and debugging using emulation and board-level tools.
Key Responsibilities

Perform SoC bring-up including boot flow, clock configuration, DDR initialization, and pin-muxing.

Work on RTOS internals, porting, and optimization on platforms like ZeBu/Gem5.

Develop and validate peripheral drivers such as UART, timers, I²C, and SPI.

Debug system issues using ZeBu transactors, JTAG, and low-level techniques.

Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and validation teams to enable platform readiness.

Support stability, performance tuning, and reliability improvements during bring-up.
Required Skills & Experience

5–8 years of experience in embedded systems or SoC bring-up.

Strong understanding of bootloaders, clock configuration, DDR training, and pinmux.

Expertise in Bare-Metal programming and RTOS porting.

Experience with ZeBu, Gem5, or similar environments.

Experience in driver development for UART, timers, I²C/SPI.

Proficiency in debugging tools including JTAG and waveform viewers.
