Electronic Engineer

Tilco Technology Lab is seeking a motivated and innovation-driven Product Development / R&D Engineer (Electronics) for a full-time, on-site position. This role focuses on the research, design, development, prototyping, and testing of smart consumer electronic products from concept to production.

The ideal candidate is highly proactive, technically strong, and passionate about developing new technologies, improving existing products, and solving real-world engineering challenges through hardware and firmware innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, and development of new smart electronic products and product improvements.
• Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C/C++, including real-time functionality, peripheral drivers, and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Design, prototype, test, and validate PCBs for consumer electronic devices.
• Work on hardware prototyping, component selection, circuit debugging, and system integration.
• Develop and test analog and digital electronic circuits for product functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Perform product validation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis during development and testing stages.
• Support rapid prototyping processes including PCB CNC milling operations and prototype fabrication when required.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, firmware documentation, test reports, and engineering change records.
• Research emerging technologies, components, and industry trends to support innovative product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, sourcing, and production teams to ensure successful product execution.
• Independently propose and implement design enhancements to improve product performance, manufacturability, and user experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of self-driven experience in product development, embedded systems, or R&D engineering.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Strong understanding of electronics design, circuit analysis, and hardware debugging.
• Familiarity with development, testing, and debugging tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
• Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently on research and development tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PCB design and electronic prototyping.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with embedded firmware development and hardware integration.
• Understanding of product validation, testing, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Experience using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, Multisim, or similar engineering software.
• Interest in innovation, consumer electronics, and smart product development.

Work Schedule & Probation

• A 3-month probation period applies to evaluate performance and role alignment.
• Final employment terms and contract confirmation will be based on the successful completion of the probation period.
