Electronic Engineer - Advanced Wireless Systems | RF, Digital & Embedded Electronics

Location: Guildford | On-site

Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 Gross Per Annum + Bonus + Private Healthcare

Working within a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute across the full product lifecycle, from early-stage research and concept development through to design, manufacture, deployment, and support.

The role

You'll join a specialist engineering team developing advanced wireless hardware solutions for use in highly demanding, real-world environments.


Working closely with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll contribute to the development of high-performance electronic systems that are deployed where reliability, performance, and resilience are critical. The environment is highly technical and collaborative, with a strong focus on taking designs all the way through to operational use.


This is a role where you'll see your work move from concept through to deployed capability , working across the full engineering lifecycle. You'll be part of a hands-on team that values technical ownership, problem-solving, and close collaboration, tackling complex challenges that require both depth and creativity.


Engineers within the team are exposed to a broad range of technologies, including RF, analogue and digital electronics, signal processing, embedded systems, FPGA-based platforms, and wireless communications , providing excellent opportunities to develop both specialist and cross-disciplinary expertise.


Your background

  • Experience in electronic design , with opportunities available for engineers from approximately 2+ years of industry experience through to senior and lead level
  • Exposure to PCB design and layout , whether through academic projects, commercial experience, or product development environments
  • An understanding of analogue, digital, or RF electronics , with the opportunity to specialise and develop further within the team
  • Experience contributing to product development activities, from concept and design through to testing, integration, or support
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine enthusiasm for technology and engineering
  • Comfortable working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Eligible and willing to obtain UK security clearance , subject to relevant requirements


Seniority based on below:

  • Experience in RF and analogue design , including amplifiers, filters, mixers, receivers, or transmitters
  • Experience in high-speed digital design , including FPGA, SoC, ADC, or DAC-based systems
  • Exposure to modelling or simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Python, CST , or similar
  • Understanding of signal processing, embedded systems, or wireless communications
  • Experience developing software or firmware for embedded platforms, FPGAs, microcontrollers, ARM processors, or GPU-based systems
  • Experience working on products deployed in demanding, regulated, or mission-critical environments


Security Requirements

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance, which may involve nationality and residency requirements.
