Our client, a leading manufacturer of products for highly regulated industries including Marine, Medical, and more, are looking for an Electronic Engineer based in Newark to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an office-based role supporting the development of innovative control panel and interface technologies for blue-chip customers across a range of industries.
Key responsibilities of the Electronic Engineer job based in Newark:

Support the design, development and testing of electronic hardware products.

Manage and implement hardware design changes driven by cost, obsolescence, or performance improvements.

Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation to a high professional standard.

Perform fault finding and debugging of electronic devices.

Conduct quality and reliability analysis (e.G. MTBF).

Support EMC testing and wider electrical validation activities.
-
Work closely with production and production engineering teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Provide guidance and support to technicians and junior team members.

Identify and manage technical risks and issues throughout the product lifecycle.
Experience required for the Electronic Engineer job based in Newark:

Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.

Experience in an electronics design or manufacturing environment.

Experience designing analogue and digital circuits using tools such as Altium Designer.

Strong understanding of EMC design and compliance testing.

Experience with digital communication protocols (e.G. SPI, I2C, USB).

Strong documentation and reporting skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Knowledge of programming languages (e.G. C/C#) and simulation tools (e.G. SPICE) would be advantageous.
