Electronic Engineer

You're an Electronics Engineer with hands-on circuit and PCB design experience.

In your current role you've hit a wall: perhaps the work is slow-moving, overly process-heavy, or you're not given real ownership over what you design.

You've recently considered working at a startup and are mainly looking at Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A.

Technically you're comfortable with schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools (Altium, Cadence, KiCad, SPICE), and you're not afraid of getting hands-on at the bench with an oscilloscope and logic analyzer.

The Company

Pre-seed applied AI startup based in NYC, recently raised $2M+ from a Tier-1 VC, with talks for larger expansion on the horizon. They've signed up some great clients and the demand for their product is huge.

The company is building AI-native developer tooling and are now expanding into designing their own hardware for the autonomous systems market (lidar, IMUs, actuators, motor controls, and more).

They are looking to bring on board an Electronics Engineer to help build this new product line from the ground up, working directly alongside their CTO.

Responsibilities

• Turn requirements into working analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
• Own schematic design and PCB layout, from component selection to BOM
• Simulate designs to catch power, signal integrity, timing, and thermal issues early
• Bring up and debug prototypes at the bench
• Take designs from concept through to a manufacturable product

Qualifications

• High ownership mindset
• Hands-on circuit and PCB design experience
• Proficient with PCB design tooling
• Solid grounding in analog/digital fundamentals, power electronics, and high-speed design
• US citizen (no sponsorship available)
