Job Summary
Responsible for the electrical and electronic aspects of product design, development, production, and delivery.
Qualification Requirements

B.S. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Master’s degree is preferred).

3-5 years of working experience in a related field.

Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is preferred.

Must be able to perform Pre-Production Build recording, tracking, reporting, and analysis of gathered data.

Must be able to work some weekends or overtime for product launches, if needed.

Knowledge of IC programming for MicroChip, ARM, or equivalent microcontrollers.

Familiarity with Part Drawing system rules.

Ability to design and create electrical circuit schematics and subcomponent specifications.
-
Ability to perform analysis of electrical circuits and components.
-
Knowledgeable in and able to perform Motion Control designs and applications.
-
Knowledgeable in using and designing Vision Systems.
-
Familiar with electronic manufacturing and the processing of components/subsystems.

Ability to design and evaluate Functional Circuit Testing (FCT).

Good organizational skills—must be able to manage several projects efficiently.

Very good English written and oral communication skills—must be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical information.

Good computer skills.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities
-
Design of hardware and firmware programming using ICs such as MicroChip, ARM, or equivalent microprocessors.
-
Perform schematic design of electric and electronic products using Altium.
-
Perform PCB Layout designs using Altium Designer or Cadence.
-
Define and write Product Specifications based on electrical circuit schematics and subcomponent specifications.
-
Assist with, manage, and resolve issues on multiple assigned projects.
-
Assist in the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Work Instructions, and Process Flows.
-
Perform bench and production hardware/software checkout.
-
Perform Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV) build activities and subsystem debug.
-
Coordinate and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) teams.
-
Prepare project plans, track product timing requirements, and part availability dates.
-
Assist with the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process.
-
Determine and investigate design alternatives.
-
Support and perform electrical packaging design studies.
-
Assist with the definition of system and subsystem requirements.
-
Recommend additional testing and development as required.
-
Perform Engineering Change Notice (ECN) for the release and change of hardware, software, calibrations, brackets, and packaging.

Assist with root cause, resolution, and verification of system issues and test incidents.

Support the launch of new products at Epoch or at customer sites.
-
Stay abreast of new technologies and competitive products.
-
Manage parts substitution, part changes, Owner’s Manual updates, and system replacements.
-
Implement relevant management rules and regulations on production safety, environment, and occupational health.
-
Complete other tasks assigned by the company or senior manager.
