Job Description

Director of Hardware Engineering (Electrical & Embedded Systems)

A growing technology manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Director of Electrical & Embedded Hardware Engineering to lead the design and development of advanced embedded hardware systems used in medical, defense, enterprise, and professional AV applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical and embedded hardware engineers.
  • Oversee hardware development from concept through production.
  • Drive electrical architecture, schematic design, PCB reviews, and system validation.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Manage engineering schedules, technical reviews, and project execution.
  • Improve engineering processes, product quality, and development efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in product development and troubleshooting. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • 10+ years of embedded hardware/electrical engineering experience.
    • 3+ years leading engineering teams.
    • Strong experience with embedded systems, mixed-signal circuit design, PCB development, and FPGA/microcontroller technologies.
    • Experience in regulated industries such as medical, aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing is highly preferred.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
