Join our R&D Team in Aalborg or Lyngby

We are seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer to join our hardware team and transform complex concepts into reliable, high-performance products. In this role, you will help develop advanced satellite communication products used in demanding maritime and mission-critical environments.

Our R&D department, based at NOVI in Aalborg and near DTU in Kgs. Lyngby, is a hub of creativity and technical expertise.


About the Job

As our new hardware engineer, you will take technical ownership of the entire development lifecycle. You will follow the product all the way from the initial definition of requirements to final delivery to production, including ongoing yield optimization. You will join our R&D department, collaborating closely with embedded software developers and mechanical engineers.


Your primary responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Product Lifecycle: Follow products from initial requirement definitions to manufacturing hand-over and subsequent yield optimization.
  • Architecture & Schematics: Define digital system architectures and design complex schematic diagrams.
  • PCB Layout & Simulation: Execute high-speed PCB layouts and perform signal and power integrity analyses.
  • Lab Testing & Validation: Lead prototype bring-up, debug using oscilloscopes, and prepare designs for EMC compliance.


Who Are You?

We are looking for a dedicated engineer with a background in Electronic Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or equivalent) who is genuinely energized by solving complex digital hardware challenges.


We look for a profile who:

  • Is highly familiar with CAD tools, as our primary design platform is Cadence Allegro.
  • Understands high-speed design rules, embedded architectures (microcontrollers/FPGAs), and bus communication (SPI, I2C, PCIe).
  • Has an analytical mindset focused on manufacturing readiness, testability (DFT), and production yield.
  • Works systematically in the lab and maintains precise documentation of test results.
