Digital ASIC Back-End Engineer

BeammWave is an innovative company developing a disruptive mmWave digital beamforming radio architecture. Our technology will transform how beamforming is implemented in future 5G and wireless systems. We are now looking for a Digital ASIC Back-End Engineer to play a key role in the physical implementation of our cutting-edge SoCs – collaborating with both our in-house digital design team and external consultants to deliver world-class silicon.

As a Digital ASIC Back-End Engineer at BeammWave, you will:

• Drive the RTL-to-GDSII flow using Cadence tools (Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Voltus).
• Perform synthesis, floorplanning, place & route, CTS, ECOs , and timing closure .
• Execute sign-off analysis , including STA, IR/EM, and signal integrity.
• Optimize power, performance, and area (PPA) across multiple corners and modes.
• Work closely with front-end, DFT, and RF teams to align constraints and interfaces.
• Collaborate with external partners and foundries through tape-out and post-silicon activities.

We are seeking an engineer with a strong background in digital ASIC physical design and a passion for delivering high-quality results through collaboration and technical excellence.

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in digital ASIC back-end / physical design .
• Proven experience with Cadence implementation tools (Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Voltus)
• Solid understanding of timing closure, low-power design (UPF), and physical verification flows .
• Strong scripting skills in Tcl and Python or similar.
• Experience working with external design partners or consultants is an advantage.
• Fluent in English , spoken and written.
