Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for an ASIC Emulation Engineer based in Mountain View, CA. The role involves designing and developing ASIC emulation models, implementing test designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate and debug hardware and software interactions. Responsibilities include analyzing emulation results, identifying issues, and providing solutions to ensure optimal system functionality. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to tool development and workflow optimization to enhance the emulation process.


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of ASIC design and emulation methodologies, including experience with FPGA prototyping and hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL
  • Competence in hardware debugging tools and techniques, including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
  • Hands-on experience with emulation platforms such as Synopsys ZeBu, Cadence Palladium, or similar tools
  • Software development skills in C/C++, Python, or related programming languages for testing and automation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve system-level issues
  • Strong communication and verbal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineers and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in high-speed interface protocols such as PCIe, DDR, Ethernet is a plus
  • Knowledge of system-level verification and validation methodologies is advantageous
