[HCM] Embedded Firmware Engineer

2. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop, port, and maintain embedded firmware, Board Support Packages (BSPs), and hardware abstraction layers across a range of automotive and non-automotive MCU/SoC platforms.

• Design, implement, and integrate device drivers (CAN, Flash, SDHC, Ethernet, UART, SPI, I2C, and others) following the Zephyr driver model and DeviceTree specifications.

• Provide firmware development and technical support for customer target hardware, including addressing feedback from upstream community maintainers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the full development lifecycle.

3. REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

• Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

• Strong C/C++ programming skills with a focus on embedded software development.

• Proven experience developing firmware and writing hardware drivers and low-level peripheral code.

• Hands-on experience with Zephyr RTOS device driver development, including working knowledge of the Zephyr build and configuration toolchain: West, CMake, Kconfig, and DeviceTree.

• Comfortable using hardware debug tools - JTAG/SWD debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes - to diagnose register-level and hardware-level faults.

• Advanced Git proficiency with experience in open-source contribution workflows: branching strategies, rebasing, and structured code reviews via GitHub or GitLab.
