About the Role


In this key role, the Colorado Springs based Technical Project Manager will interface daily with Viking Enterprise Solutions (VES) customer base and product engineering groups in support of cutting edge Data Storage and Storage Server product designs. The ideal candidate will work cross functionally throughout the VES organization and is expected to support a variety of products and customers. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong technical skills combined with a solid understanding of Enterprise Storage core business practice. This position requires a high degree of externally focused Customer Management skills combining collaborative, small team interaction with VES Engineering and Operations groups.



Responsibilities


  • Manage multiple customer relationships through continuous best practices.
  • Engage with customers throughout product development and sustaining phase.
  • Be a goal-oriented self-starter, capable of working under limited supervision.
  • Manage customer expectations and the Engineering levels in support of product development schedules.
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning with Viking Enterprise Solutions engineering when required.
  • Possess time management and interpersonal skills- excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully multitask projects and dynamically prioritize end goals.
  • Develop a detailed product development schedule and track tasks and ensure schedules are met.


Qualifications


  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design, development and project management in a medium to large global organization.
  • Strong program management experience supporting firmware engineering, or software engineering product development teams.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong partner/ customer alliance.
  • Strong interdisciplinary design in electrical, mechanical, regulatory, prototyping, validation, and test areas.
  • Field/ factory Applications / Business development a plus.
  • A background as a firmware / embedded software engineer is a plus.
