Title: Technical Lead - Power Electronics

Location: Pune

Experience: 3+ years for Power Electronics Engineers & 8+ years for Technical Leads


Role Overview:

We are looking for passionate Power Electronics Engineers and Technical Leads to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of next-generation power conversion products, including Solar Hybrid Inverters, EV, Renewable Energy, and Power Electronics solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product development from concept and prototype to mass manufacturing.
  • Design and develop advanced control algorithms for DC-DC converters, MPPT systems, and DC-AC inverters (Grid-Tied / Off-Grid).
  • Develop and optimize Embedded C/C++ firmware for real-time MCUs, particularly TI C2000 platforms.
  • Perform system modeling, simulation, and validation using MATLAB/Simulink and PLECS.
  • Drive Hardware, Firmware, and Mechanical integration activities.
  • Conduct HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing, system validation, and reliability assessments.
  • Support manufacturing readiness through DFM, DFT, and DFS methodologies.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and production teams for product industrialization.
  • Ensure compliance with grid standards such as UL 1741, IEEE 1547, anti-islanding, LVRT, and grid synchronization requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA), design reviews, technical risk mitigation, and engineering change management (ECR/ECN).
  • Support pilot production and manufacturing scale-up activities.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Power Electronics product development.
  • Strong knowledge of power converter topologies, inverter systems, and control theory.
  • Expertise in Embedded C/C++ programming for real-time control applications.
  • Hands-on experience with TI C2000 or similar microcontroller platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital control systems, compensator design (PID, PR, Lead-Lag), and stability analysis (Bode/Nyquist).
  • Experience with Grid Synchronization techniques (PLL, SOGI-PLL, SRF-PLL), active/reactive power control, and grid-tied systems.
  • Knowledge of Motor Control techniques such as FOC, SVPWM, and sensorless control.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Model-Based Design (MBD), and HIL testing.
  • Experience with system integration, validation, reliability testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Exposure to EV, Renewable Energy, Solar Inverters, Motor Drives, or Consumer Electronics products is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
