Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Lead to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of FirmGen. This role requires deep expertise in embedded systems along with the ability to lead a team building cutting-edge GenAI-powered developer tools.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

Own the end-to-end architecture of the FirmGen platform

Define scalable, modular, and vendor-agnostic firmware generation pipelines

Drive design decisions across embedded, backend, and AI integration layers
Product Development
-
Lead development of automated firmware generation workflows
-
Build abstractions for:

MCU peripherals (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.)
-
RTOS integration (FreeRTOS or equivalent)
-
Hardware abstraction layers (HAL)
-
Ensure high-quality, production-grade firmware output
Team Leadership

Mentor and guide a team of embedded and software engineers

Establish coding standards, review processes, and best practices
-
Drive execution, timelines, and delivery commitments
AI + Embedded Integration

Work closely with AI teams to integrate LLM-driven code generation

Design systems that convert:

Specs → Architecture → Firmware code
-
Optimize for correctness, determinism, and efficiency
Platform & Ecosystem

Enable support for multiple vendors (e.g., ESP32, TI, Quectel, STM, NXP, etc.)

Build reusable SDK layers and interfaces
-
Ensure portability across chipsets and RTOS environments
Required Qualifications
-
6–10+ years of experience in embedded systems / firmware development

Strong expertise in:

C/C++ (mandatory)
-
RTOS (FreeRTOS or similar)
-
MCU architectures (ARM Cortex-M, RISC)

Experience with:

Device drivers and peripheral programming
-
Hardware abstraction layers (HAL)

Debugging on real hardware
-
Proven experience in:

Designing scalable system architectures

Leading engineering teams or owning modules end-to-end
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

Code generation tools or compilers

SDK design (vendor-agnostic layers preferred)

AI/LLM integration in developer workflows

Familiarity with:

Embedded Linux
-
Communication stacks (HTTP, MQTT, TCP/IP)

Toolchains (GCC, Make, CMake, etc.)

Prior experience building developer platforms or tools is a strong plus
