Job Name: Technical Lead – Automotive Embedded Software

Job Location: Bengaluru

Experience Range: 10-12 Years


Role Description :


We are looking for a Technical Lead – Automotive Embedded Software to drive software design, development, and integration for automotive ECU programs. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Embedded C/C++, AUTOSAR (Classic), and exposure to Automotive Cybersecurity. The candidate will be responsible for technical ownership, architecture decisions, AUTOSAR integration, and mentoring the engineering team while ensuring compliance with Automotive standards.


Key Responsibilities :


1. Technical Leadership & Architecture

· Own software architecture and technical design for ECU programs.

· Convert customer requirements into detailed software design.

· Define system partitioning, communication architecture, and memory strategy.

· Lead technical reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables


2. Embedded Software Development

· Strong programming skills in C/C++.

· Experience with CAN / CAN-FD / LIN / Ethernet.

· UDS Diagnostics and Bootloader development.

· Memory mapping and linker configuration.

· Strong debugging skills


3. AUTOSAR Development & Integration

· Configure and integrate AUTOSAR Classic (Adaptive is a plus).

· Hands-on work in MCAL, BSW configuration (MCAL, COM, NVM, Diagnostics, etc.).

· RTE configuration and SWC integration.

· Experience with Vector DaVinci Configurator/Developer or EB Tresos.

· Debug integration issues at ECU level


4. Cybersecurity (Good to have)

· Exposure to ISO/SAE 21434 lifecycle.

· Implementation experience in Secure Boot and Secure Flashing.

· Understanding of cryptography concepts (AES, RSA, SHA).

· HSM integration (preferred).

· Support cybersecurity requirement implementation and reviews


5. Process & Quality

· Work within ASPICE-compliant development processes.

· Exposure to ISO 26262 Functional Safety.

· Support technical documentation, risk assessment, and audit


6. Team & Customer Interaction

· Lead and mentor a team of embedded engineers.

· Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance.

· Participate in customer technical discussions.

· Support effort estimation and technical proposals.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • 10–12 years of Automotive Embedded Product experience.
  • 3+ years in technical leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on AUTOSAR Classic experience.
  • Deep understanding of Automotive communication protocols.
  • Experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
