About The Role
We are looking for a Staff Firmware Engineer to join our team. You will be involved in the development of our company's technical infrastructure and software applications. Your duties will include system integration, communicating with stakeholders, and defining the solutions needed to implement business strategies and processes. You will also be tasked with leading operations and development teams in the agile design, development, and implementation of software systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand, communicate, and enforce the company software architecture strategy
- Manage the design, development, and implementation of software solutions
- Translate business needs and requirements into technical requirements for software applications
- Guide the software development process through high-level decision making
- Define and document application architecture and design
- Coach and mentor software engineers, programmers, and other team members
- Create and maintain design and code standards
- Serve as a technical liaison among project managers, developers, and stakeholders

Create overall project plans and track progress
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or software architecture

5+ years of experience leading software development teams
- Master's degree in computer engineering preferred but not required
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns
- Familiarity with software build tools, such as Gradle and Maven
- Familiarity with software development frameworks, such as Spring and Hibernate
- Familiarity with software version control systems such as Git and SVN
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and testing frameworks, such as JUnit and Selenium
- Familiarity with software delivery platforms, such as Atlassian’s Jira, Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Apache’s Subversion
- Strong interpersonal communication skills

Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What we're looking for
At embedd.it, we power hardware-software integration in embedded devices. We turn fragmented semiconductor chip data into configurable digital twins, then deterministically generate code, tests, and documentation – making integration faster, cheaper, and resilient to supply chain shocks.
We’re looking for a true legend – someone with abstract thinking and deep expertise in low-level software development. You’ll build vendor-agnostic tooling for MCU and peripheral integration to solve hardware-software integration once and for all. We work at the intersection of embedded systems, code generation, compilers, and machine learning. It’s your chance to help redefine how low-level development is done.
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture of the driver structures and system layout
- Define scalable patterns for cross-architectural integration across bare-metal, Zephyr, Linux, and other environments
- Deconstruct complex SoC device trees and translate hardware descriptions into structured internal models for automated reasoning
- Partner with the ML team to shape data and annotation models for AI-driven data-extraction tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS-based systems
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with firmware configuration, SoC bring-up, and system-level debugging
- Hands-on experience with code generation tools, or low-level compiler/decompiler/emulator technologies
- Strong background in embedded toolchains: compilers, linkers, debuggers, and build systems
- Python or scripting for automation and tooling is a plus
- Experience with functional-safety standards is a plus
