Sr. Embedded System Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for hardware systems.

Work with programming in C or C++ and have hardware, circuit analysis, microelectronics, computer architecture, and real-time operating systems expertise.

Develop firmware/software and verification plans, test procedures and test environments, execute the test procedures and document test results to ensure firmware system requirements are met.

Serve as a subject matter expert for the control software domain, related industry standards, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree

5 or more years of experience working with GUI based desktop environments.

5 or more years of firmware and/or embedded software development experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and/or automated DevOps processes/tools.

Experience with C, C++, Java, and Shell, Perl, and Python.
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications

Working knowledge of USB, SPI, I2C, etc. protocols, microcontroller programming and FTDI interfaces.

Experience in rehosting, debugging and validating code

Expertise with electronic hardware programming and GUI development

Familiarity with FPGA, signal processing is a plus.
