  • Solid software design capabilities, including architecture definition, modular design, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Ability to translate system requirements into design documentation and communicate design decisions to hardware, mechanical, and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on quality, traceability, and reliability in medical devices.
  • Proficiency in software development practices, including version control, build systems (CMake, Make), and agile workflows.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing software for regulated environments (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485) or safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with BLE or other wireless connectivity.
  • Experience implementing bootloaders and firmware update mechanisms (OTA or wired).
  • Experience with embedded security: encryption, firmware signing, secure element integration.
  • Proficiency in Python for build and test automation.
