Job Summary – Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for IoT, and communication products. The candidate will be responsible for developing robust and secure embedded software solutions, integrating communication technologies, debugging hardware-software interactions, and supporting product validation and field deployments.

The role requires hands-on experience in embedded C/C++, microcontroller-based system development, communication protocols, RTOS, and hardware debugging.

Key Responsibilities – Embedded Software Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware/software for microcontroller-based systems.
• Implement and optimize communication interfaces such as UART, ADC, SPI, I2C, RS-485, BLE, Wi-SUN, RF, LTE/GPRS, and Modbus.
• Perform firmware integration, debugging, testing, and validation on hardware platforms.
• Develop and maintain bootloaders, OTA upgrade mechanisms, and security features for embedded devices.
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical support for deployed products.
• Optimize firmware performance, memory utilization, power consumption, and system reliability.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity features such as encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols.

Technical Skill Requirements (Key Skills)

Embedded Software Development

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience in developing firmware for 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with controllers such as STM32, TI MSP430 and NXP LPC microcontrollers.
• Firmware encryption and authentication.

Communication Protocols

• UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485, USB, ADC
• DLMS/COSEM, Modbus, TCP/IP
• GSM/GPRS/4G LTE communication

Development Tools

• Keil MDK

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or equivalent disciplines.
