Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II within Honeywell Next Generation Avionics (NGA),
you will be part of a team of engineers, developers and designers creating and implementing cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform.In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the advancement of cutting-edge avionics technologies that improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of aircraft systems, helping to shape the future of aerospace innovation.
As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

Develop, implement, test, and maintain avionics software applications and components

Contribute to software architecture, design, coding, and integration activities

Participate in software verification, validation, and testing throughout the development lifecycle

Perform software impact analysis, debugging, and root cause investigations

Support certification activities, software compliance documentation, and quality processes

Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
-
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline

~2 years of software engineering or related development experience

Working knowledge of software development, integration, debugging, and testing methodologies
WE VALUE

Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or embedded software development

Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks

Familiarity with avionics software development lifecycles and industry standards is a plus.
