Job Title: Software Engineer - Embedded 4

Location: Pleasanton, CA (100% Onsite)

Work Schedule: 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Pay Rate Range: $94 / hour on W2 (No benefits)


Position Overview

seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Level 4) to join the Integrated Product Team in Pleasanton, CA . In this non-managerial technical role, you will lead the development, integration, and verification of high-reliability embedded software and security solutions for commercial and aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, requirements definition, algorithms, and interface development for complex embedded software systems.
  • Write, debug, and integrate high-performance C/C++ code into fully functional embedded hardware/software systems.
  • Develop software verification plans, test environments, and procedures; execute tests and document results to validate system requirements.
  • Perform software performance evaluation, memory/speed optimization, and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Utilize bug-tracking tools and source control systems within a collaborative team structure under minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Math, or Physics with 9+ years of experience (OR Master’s degree with 7+ years ).
  • Programming & Systems: Proven expertise in C and C++ for embedded real-time systems.
  • RTOS: Solid experience with VxWorks development and debugging.
  • Core Embedded Skills: Hands-on experience with embedded debugging, software performance evaluation, source control, and defect tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Embedded software design experience for ARM processors .
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Experience operating within an Agile / Scrum software development environment.
