Senior Robotics Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer, with extensive experience in building robots in complex engineering environments, to join our team and contribute to an exciting long-term project.

OUR ROLE:

• You participate in clarifying requirements, designing and implementing the robot;
• You contribute to quality improvement, via code reviews and unit-tests, and check the results of your work together with other members of the team;
• You estimate the necessary effort, record the actual effort, and communicate with the team members or client’s technical contact on any potential issue;
• Designing, building and maintaining excellent robotics systems with clean code;
• Integrating third-party sensors and SDKs;
• Write unit and integration tests;
• Care deeply about performance, reliability, and safety;
• Collaborate with teams to discuss technical and engineering trade-offs;
• Create fast, reliable, and documented code that others can understand.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years of professional software and/or hardware development experience, with at least 5 years working directly on robotic systems.
• Deep, hands-on experience with modern robotics middleware and software frameworks used to build and integrate complex autonomous systems.
• Strong proficiency in one or more systems-level programming languages commonly used in robotics.
• Solid understanding of localization, mapping, and state estimation techniques for autonomous navigation.
• Experience working with sensors and platforms, including aerial (drones, flight controllers) and ground (embedded, mobile robotics).
• Experience working on large, complex systems with a strong understanding of robotics system architecture.
• Experience operating within Agile development practices, ideally as part of a distributed or remote team.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
