About the role


As a Senior Robotics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing high-performance software systems for robotic teleoperation and telepresence. You will lead the development of scalable robotics teleoperation stations, infrastructure, define best practices for software engineering, and guide the technical direction of the team.


Your Responsibilities


  • Architect and implement high-performance software solutions for robotic teleoperation systems
  • Lead the design and development of robotics software infrastructure and frameworks for the deployment of software solutions at scale
  • Drive technical decisions and establish best practices for software development within the robotics team
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of their work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, product, and research, to define technical roadmaps
  • Solve challenging technical problems in areas such as control for teleoperation, telepresence, data collection, and model execution
  • Design and implement simulation environments and testing frameworks to validate robotic behaviors
  • Optimize algorithms for performance, reliability, and resource efficiency
  • Contribute to strategic technical discussions and product planning
  • Stay current with emerging robotics technologies and research


Essential Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing software for robotic systems
  • Advanced programming skills in C++ and Python
  • Strong expertise with ROS (Robot Operating System) and related tools
  • Deep understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control theory
  • Experience in architecting and implementing large-scale robotics software systems
  • Strong background in computer vision, sensor fusion, and state estimation
  • Experience leading software development projects and mentoring engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems in robotics
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
