We seek a passionate Quantum Engineer who can enroll in both an engineering and management job, bringing at least 5 years of experience in quantum engineering or a related field.


Job scope

We seek a passionate Quantum Engineer who:

  • Understands the challenges of spin qubit manipulation, including coherent control, calibration, and hardware development.
  • Thrives in hands-on experimentation and enjoys designing and refining experimental procedures.
  • Is excited about building complex quantum architectures while navigating system constraints.
  • Helps define and prioritize the innovation roadmap, propose novel approaches for calibration, optimization, and testing, and foster academic partnerships to advance research, publish scientific findings, and represent Quobly in innovative ecosystems.


Technical challenges

  • You will be in charge of the implementation, development, and optimization of spin qubit measurements.
  • You will participate in the optimization of experimental set-ups in collaboration with the software and electronics teams.
  • You will define long-term scientific challenges and supervise PhD students to address these questions.
  • You will participate in the development of new quantum functionalities on quantum processors, in collaboration with the integration and characterization teams.
  • You will contribute to defining the scientific roadmap for scaling up the number of qubits.


Collaboration

  • You will interact with the Technology Director and technical teams to build the company’s technological strategy.
  • Collaborate with talented people in a culture of transparency and autonomy.
  • Work closely with members of all technical teams (integration, software, characterization, etc.).
  • Contribute to the success of industrial collaborations with renowned research institutes.


Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of fundamental physics concepts and quantum mechanics.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and Quantum Computing is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) , Finite Element Analysis , and Radio Frequency (RF) is required
  • A beginner-level experience in Circuit Simulation , Design of Experiments , and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a remote environment .
  • Ability to lead teams and develop strategic partnerships
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English .
  • A Doctorate degree in Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
