We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join our platform software team. This role focuses on Linux-based system development on Qualcomm chipsets, supporting foundational platform development for robotics, wearables, action cameras, and drones. The scope includes BSP, kernel, driver development, system features, and platform SDK construction.
Responsibilities

Responsible for bring-up and subsequent maintenance of embedded systems based on Qualcomm platforms

Design, develop, and optimize Linux BSP, including Bootloader, Kernel, Device Tree, Drivers, and System Applications

Build and maintain customized Linux distributions based on Yocto

Write and maintain technical documentation to support software delivery and provide customer support

Collaborate closely with project management, testing, customer support, and overseas development teams to ensure high-quality and on-time project delivery

Participate in technical architecture design and reviews, promoting systematic analysis and innovative solutions to open-ended problems
Requirements
-
Proficient in C/C++/Python, with over 5 years of experience in Linux application or kernel development (5 yrs post-BSc, 3 yrs post-MSc)

Familiar with ARM architecture and system-level programming.

Skilled in debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, ftrace, and perf;

Able to read hardware schematics and understand basic hardware interfaces and protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB)

Solid understanding of embedded Linux system build and boot processes, as well as system initialization and service management mechanisms (e.g., systemd)

Strong architectural design skills, capable of independently handling complex module design and implementation

Good communication skills in both Chinese and English, able to collaborate effectively with global teams

Passionate about technology, with strong learning ability, problem analysis and solving skills, and resilience under pressure to find optimal solutions in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Ubuntu or Debian system development, familiar with deb package building and management

Experience with Qualcomm QC Linux or embedded Linux platform development

Familiar with Qualcomm hardware and software architecture

Experience contributing to open-source projects

Experience with projects related to Cloud services, cloud gaming, cloud decoding, containerd, and kernel virtualization
