About the Role:

We are seeking a detail – oriented and experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Kochi. The role involves designing and validating hardware for both MCU-based and MPU-based Linus systems, with ownership from schematic capture and PCB layout through prototype bring-up, debugging, and production support across our product pipeline – spanning automotive safety hardware across vision, control, telematics, and compliance domains.


Key Responsibilities:

· Design schematics for embedded hardware boards and sub-systems for MCU and MPU

platforms.

· Perform PCB layout design with attention to signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and

manufacturability.

· Support design of Linux-based MPU systems, including processor boards, power sequencing,

memory interfaces, storage, communication interfaces, and peripheral integration.

· Develop and validate analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.

· Perform SPICE simulations for circuit verification, especially for power supplies and interface

circuits.

· Select components, prepare BOMs, and support component lifecycle management.

· Perform soldering, rework, and hands-on prototype modifications as needed.

· Coordinate with firmware, Linux software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

· Prepare technical documentation, design notes, validation reports, and release packages.

· Drive hardware validation and bring-up, including board-level testing, debugging, and root-

cause analysis.

· Able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, managing time to meet project

milestones and schedules.


Requirements:

-B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical, Computer

Science or a related discipline

-8+ years of hardware design experience with 16/32-bit MCUs/MPUs and SoCs (TI, NXP,

Microchip, Freescale, or equivalent)

-Proficiency with KiCad and Altium Designer.

-Experience in embedded hardware design for both MCU-based and MPU-based Linux

systems.

-Strong knowledge of SPICE model simulation and basic circuit analysis.

-Good debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

-Hands-on soldering and rework capability for prototype boards.

-Understanding of power supply design, component selection, and board-level electronics.

-Ability to read datasheets, application notes, and translate requirements into hardware

solutions.

-Hands-on experience with hardware debug tools: MSO oscilloscopes, logic analyzers,

CANalyzer / CANoe

-Experience in high-speed design, EMI/EMC practices, and signal integrity.

-Experience with processor boards, memory interfaces, boot circuitry, and board bring-up for

embedded Linux systems.

-Knowledge of DFM, DFT, and PCB fabrication/assembly constraints.

-Experience collaborating with firmware, platform, and engineering teams across functions


Preferred / Added Advantage:

-Automotive electronics experience — ADAS, speed control, body electronics, or EV/HEV

systems

-Hands-on with AI camera / machine vision hardware — sensor selection, ISP tuning, MIPI CSI

interfaces

-Experience working in product development, prototype validation, and production support

environments.
