About the Opportunity


A technology company based in the Liège region is looking for an experienced FPGA / SoC Design Engineer to join its advanced engineering team.

The organization develops high-performance electronic systems and embedded solutions for demanding applications across multiple industries, including imaging, industrial systems, aerospace-related projects, embedded platforms, and advanced video processing technologies.

The company works on custom product development, combining expertise in hardware, programmable logic, embedded software, and system-level design to deliver innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.


Your Role

As a Senior FPGA / SoC Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of advanced electronic products involving programmable logic technologies.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will participate in the full development cycle, from architecture definition through implementation, validation, and technology exploration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the architecture, design, and implementation of electronic hardware projects across various application domains.
  • Define and specify FPGA and SoC architectures.
  • Develop FPGA designs using VHDL.
  • Perform FPGA testing, integration, and validation in laboratory environments.
  • Contribute to research and development activities by evaluating and implementing new technologies.
  • Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, and system engineers throughout project execution.


Required Qualifications


Education

  • Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.


Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FPGA development.


Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in FPGA design.
  • Solid knowledge of VHDL.
  • Experience with FPGA design, simulation, and debugging environments.
  • Familiarity with the C programming language.
  • Experience with microcontroller-based system design.


Additional Technical Asset

  • Experience in electronic board design, including schematics and PCB development.


Soft Skills

  • Strong passion for technology and engineering.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment.


Languages

  • Good command of either French or English.
