Job Description

Lead the integration, validation, and troubleshooting of multiple vehicle controllers within our electric vehicle platform, ensuring seamless communication between VCU, BMS, Motor Controller, ABS, Dashboard, Telematics, Charger, DC-DC Converter, and other vehicle ECUs over CAN networks.

Job Summary:

Zitto Motors is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration, validation, and troubleshooting of multiple vehicle controllers within our electric vehicle platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with vehicle integration, CAN communication, embedded systems debugging, and automotive diagnostics.


  • Responsibilities: Integrate and validate communication between VCU, BMS, Motor Controller/Inverter, ABS Controller, Dashboard/HMI, Telematics Unit, Onboard Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter, and additional vehicle ECUs
  • Develop and maintain CAN communication matrices, DBC files, signal mapping documentation, and vehicle network architecture documentation
  • Debug communication issues using tools such as PEAK CAN, Vector CANalyzer, Vector CANoe, Kvaser, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
  • Perform vehicle-level integration testing and validation
  • Analyze CAN logs and troubleshoot missing messages, bus-off conditions, arbitration issues, incorrect signal decoding, and network timing problems
  • Coordinate with firmware, hardware, vehicle dynamics, and testing teams
  • Support development of vehicle features such as torque management, regenerative braking, ride modes, cruise control, fault management, and functional safety mechanisms
  • Create integration test plans and validation reports
  • Support HIL, SIL, and vehicle testing activities
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of CAN 2.0A/B, CAN FD, UDS Diagnostics, J1939, and ISO-TP
  • Experience integrating multiple automotive ECUs
  • Proficiency in C, embedded debugging, and CAN tools and diagnostics
  • Experience reading and debugging schematics, wiring harnesses, and CAN topologies
  • Hands-on experience with firmware flashing, bootloaders, and calibration tools
  • Preferred Qualifications: EV powertrain integration experience
  • Experience with VCU development, BMS integration, motor controllers, ABS systems, and Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR, Ethernet Automotive Networks, LIN, and MQTT-based telematics
  • Experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, NI, ETAS
