I'm working with a leading aerospace technology company developing next-generation flight systems and advanced aircraft. They're looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to help build the software that powers mission-critical systems where reliability, performance and precision are paramount.

This is a hands-on engineering role working close to the hardware, developing embedded software for complex real-world systems where failure isn't an option.

🔧 The Role

• Develop embedded software in modern C++
• Build Python tooling, automation and test infrastructure
• Work across Embedded Linux and RTOS environments
• Board bring-up, hardware integration and low-level debugging
• Develop device drivers and interface with custom hardware
• Improve system performance, reliability and deterministic behaviour
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, controls and electronics engineers

✅ We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with C++ and Python
• Embedded Linux and/or RTOS development
• Hardware/software integration and low-level debugging
• Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN or Ethernet
• A passion for building robust embedded software that performs reliably in demanding environments

Experience within aerospace, defence, space, robotics, automotive or other safety-critical embedded systems is highly desirable.
