Job Description

Stelvio is supporting a robotics client actively hiring multiple Embedded Systems, and Software Engineers who enjoy building solutions that directly interact with real-world hardware.

This is for an early-stage robotics company developing highly complex, precision hardware where reliability, safety, and real-time performance really matter.

I’m interested in speaking with engineers who have experience across areas such as:

  • Embedded C / C++
  • Modern C++ on Linux
  • Embedded Linux, RTOS, QNX, or bare-metal systems
  • Hardware/software integration
  • Device drivers, sensors, actuators, motors, cameras, or motion systems
  • Real-time or deterministic software
  • Robotics, mechatronics, aerospace, automotive, med-tech, industrial automation, or defense systems
  • Board bring-up, lab debugging, test automation, or production support
  • Computer vision, imaging systems, perception, calibration, or sensor fusion
  • ROS / ROS2, DDS, EtherCAT, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, or similar communication protocols

The strongest fits will be engineers who are comfortable working close to the hardware, debugging complex systems in the lab, and building robust software for products that need to perform consistently.

Location: Multiple locations across SoCal / California.

Role type: Full-time - Initially On-Site...Hybrid available overtime.

Level: Senior through to Staff-level preferred, but open to strong engineers with directly relevant experience.
