Senior Embedded Android AOSP

Role Overview

Seeking a Senior Embedded Android AOSP expert with deep knowledge of embedded Android and Linux internals. You will apply advanced skills to design, customize, and optimize Android for embedded hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing AOSP for custom hardware.
• Advanced knowledge of BSPs, device trees, and board configurations.
• Skilled in integrating/customizing Linux kernels, drivers, and HALs (display, audio, sensors, connectivity).
• Deep understanding of Android framework, system services, and middleware.
• Proficient with Soong, Make, repo, and Gerrit workflows.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams for stability, security, and performance.
• Advanced debugging with adb, fastboot, logcat, dmesg, perf, gdb, strace.
• Provide technical guidance via mentoring, reviews, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years in AOSP/embedded Android/Linux.
• Strong skills in C, C++, Java, Kotlin.
• Proven expertise in kernel bring-up, BSP porting, HAL integration, debugging.
• Skilled in scripting and automation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Qualcomm, or other chip vendors.
• Knowledge of CTS/VTS/GTS, SELinux, Verified Boot.
• Familiarity with WearOS or other Android-based platforms.

Education & Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
