About FYT
FYT is building an AI-powered wearable at the intersection of health, wellness, and AI. Our hardware combines ultra-low-power embedded systems, computer vision, edge AI, and wireless connectivity to deliver an all-day wearable experience.
We're looking for a Senior Embedded AI Engineer to lead firmware and embedded AI development for our next-generation hardware platform.
Role
You will own the embedded software stack that powers FYT's wearable, from sensor integration and AI inference to power management and production firmware. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building products from prototype through mass production.
Responsibilities
-
Architect and develop embedded firmware for wearable devices.
-
Develop software for Nordic SoCs/MCUs (nRF52, nRF53, nRF54 family).
-
Develop software for Himax edge AI vision SoCs (WE-I Plus, WiseEye series, HX65xx or similar).
-
Optimize ultra-low-power operation for all-day battery life.
-
Integrate camera modules, IMUs, microphones, and additional sensors.
-
Deploy and optimize TinyML and computer vision models for edge inference.
-
Optimize memory usage, boot time, latency, and inference performance.
-
Implement BLE communication, OTA firmware updates, and secure boot.
-
Build production-quality embedded software architecture.
-
Debug hardware/software interactions using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD tools.
-
Work closely with AI, hardware, mechanical, and mobile engineering teams.
-
Support manufacturing, validation, and field testing.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
-
Strong C/C++ programming skills.

-
Strong understanding of RTOS concepts (Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or similar).
-
Experience with BLE.
-
Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, PWM, DMA, USB, and interrupts.
-
Strong debugging and profiling skills.
-
Experience optimizing battery-powered embedded systems.
-
