Job Description

About Neuratia Labs:

Neuratia Labs is developing next-generation neurotechnology platforms that combine brain sensing, neuromodulation, artificial intelligence, and digital therapeutics to advance mental health, cognitive wellness, and brain performance.

Our flagship product, the ONYX Headset, is a medical-grade wearable neurotechnology platform integrating multi-channel EEG, neuromodulation technologies (tDCS, tACS, tRNS, HD-tDCS), physiological biosensors, and AI-driven brain intelligence systems.

We are seeking a highly motivated Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our neurotechnology R&D team and contribute to the design and development of advanced wearable brain-computer interface (BCI) systems.

Role Overview:

The Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing the electronic systems powering our EEG and neuromodulation headset.

This role requires strong expertise in low-noise analog electronics, biomedical instrumentation, PCB design, wireless communication systems, and power management. The ideal candidate will work closely with embedded engineers, neuroscientists, AI researchers, and industrial designers to build research-grade wearable neurotechnology devices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. EEG System Development: Design and optimize low-noise EEG acquisition circuits. Develop signal conditioning, amplification, and filtering systems.

2. Neuromodulation Electronics: Design stimulation circuits for tDCS, tACS, tRNS, and HD-tDCS. Support development of closed-loop neuromodulation systems.

3. PCB & Hardware Design: Design multi-layer mixed-signal PCBs for wearable devices. Develop schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.

4. Wireless & RF Systems: Develop BLE 5.x and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity solutions. Optimize RF performance, antenna integration, and power consumption.

5. Signal Integrity & EMC: Design effective grounding, shielding, and noise-control strategies. Support regulatory compliance and pre-certification testing.

6. Testing & Validation: Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues. Conduct prototype verification, validation, and reliability testing. Use laboratory instruments for performance characterization and analysis.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with embedded, AI, biomedical, and mechanical engineering teams. Contribute to product innovation, patent development, and technical reviews. Support the transition from prototype to manufacturing.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of Analog & Mixed Signal Design

• Experience in EEG & Biosignal Systems

• Experience with tools for Multi-layer PCB design, High-density routing, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT)

• Knowledge of Wireless Systems like BLE, Wi-Fi, RF fundamentals, Antenna integration

• Understanding of EMI mitigation, EMC compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: PhD or Master's Degree in relevant field

• Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on hardware development experience.
