About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced electromechanical systems for demanding subsea applications. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge products involving motion control, power electronics, embedded systems, and precision actuation while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
This position offers hands-on ownership of product design, customer interaction, and technical leadership from concept through manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

Design electrical systems for advanced electromechanical products including propulsion systems, actuators, motors, sensors, and power transmission equipment.

Develop brushless motor drive electronics and supporting circuitry.

Design, analyze, prototype, test, and validate embedded electrical systems.

Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.

Improve existing products to enhance reliability, manufacturability, and overall performance while reducing cost.

Collaborate closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and quality teams.

Support manufacturing during product assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and product launches.

Lead or participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and DFMEA/PFMEA activities.

Serve as the technical lead on custom engineering projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and technical objectives are achieved.

Develop wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.

Provide technical support to customers and participate in engineering discussions, design reviews, and project meetings.

Support prototype development, validation testing, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

5-10 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial product development environment.

Strong understanding of three-phase AC/DC motors and motor control systems, particularly brushless motor technology.

Experience designing power electronics, motor drive circuits, and precision electromechanical systems.

Knowledge of embedded hardware and microcontroller-based system design.

Experience with PWM, ADCs, DACs, serial communication interfaces, and embedded electronics.

Strong understanding of MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate driver circuits, and power stage design.

Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.

Experience with BOM management, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ERP/MRP systems, and product lifecycle processes.

Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, serial communication tools, PCB testing equipment, and other laboratory instruments.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design.

Experience with embedded software development.

Background in industrial automation, robotics, marine systems, aerospace, defense, or other electromechanical product industries.

Experience working directly with customers on technical engineering projects.
