Job Summary
SW2 Team Leader is an Agile-minded Technical Lead responsible for leading a software team focused on embedded Linux, device drivers, and system integration on Qualcomm SDX platforms.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise, Scrum leadership, and execution ownership, ensuring high-quality delivery across development and integration activities. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration in a global environment and contributes directly to system stability, and engineering efficiency.
The role reports to the Software Department Manager and plays a key role in executing department-level software strategy at the team level.
Objectives & Responsibilities

Lead team execution across embedded Linux and system integration domains, ensuring delivery quality and schedule alignment.

Act as an Agile Technical Lead, guiding the team in Scrum practices (sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives).

Own key software components and subsystems within the modem/embedded platform, ensuring stability, performance, and maintainability.

Provide deep technical leadership in Linux device driver development on Qualcomm SDX platforms.

Drive complex system-level debugging, including kernel, driver, and interface-level analysis across software and hardware boundaries.

Manage team workload, priorities, and resource allocation for optimal execution.

Mentor engineers and build strong technical capabilities within the team.

Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes, automation, and code quality.

Collaborate with Platform, Protocol, QA, and tech supporting teams for cross-functional integration.

Support technical discussions and issue resolution with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and chipset vendors (e.g., Qualcomm).
Requirements & Qualifications

Education
: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience
: 10-15 years of experience in embedded software development (Linux/RTOS), including leadership experience.

Proven expertise in Qualcomm SDX platforms or similar modem-based systems.

Strong hands-on experience in Linux device driver development and low-level system debugging.

Solid understanding of system integration, debugging, and performance optimization.

Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong ownership mindset with proven execution delivery.

Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Qualcomm BSP/SDK and modem interfaces.

Prior role as Technical Lead or Senior Engineer in embedded systems.

Experience with CI/CD, automation, and large-scale integration.

Experience with AI/ML technologies, particularly in edge devices or embedded systems, such as AI-based performance optimization, network analytics, or intelligent system diagnostics.
